FOOD FOR LIFE - ANNADAAN

Help Create a Hunger-Free World

Sri Sri Radha Madhava Mandir, ISKCON Bhiwandi, began the Food for Life Annadaan Movement in 2020 when migrant workers living around the temple struggled to access even one nutritious meal a day. In response, we started serving them the Lord's sacred prasadam with love and compassion.

Today, our temple kitchen prepares 1,500 sattvic meals every day, cooked in pure cow ghee using high-quality ingredients.

Each meal is first lovingly offered to the Lord and then distributed as prasadam to underprivileged men, women, and children living in and around the slums of Bhiwandi. Because of this initiative, 1,500 people experience relief from hunger every day. Yet, there are still 4,000 more individuals who urgently need a wholesome meal, and with your support, we can reach them too.

Annadaan

With only ₹30, you can help feed a hungry person with sanctified prasadam prepared to the highest standards of purity, nutrition, and care. Every meal nourishes not only the body but also the soul.

Srila Prabhupada encouraged the free distribution of prasadam from the very beginning of Krishna Consciousness in 1966. He often taught that through generous prasadam distribution and sankirtan, the entire world can attain peace, happiness, and prosperity.

In the Bhagavad tradition, food offered to the Lord becomes Prasadam, spiritually sanctified by His mercy. The Lord accepts these offerings, and His divine presence permeates them. Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu glorified Krishna's remnants as being superior even to heavenly nectar, explaining that only those blessed with Krishna's special mercy can receive such sacred remnants. Hare Krishna!
